…thus explaining the utter fail of my outfit photos?

is that a bindi in between my eyes? why no, that would a speck on our dirty mirror.
i bought these YSL’s as a birthday present for myself, as encouraged by pooey <3

so whenever i’m feeling super pumsy, meh or just straight up hungry, i try to get myself one of these mochis from Mochi Cream. It’s located in Sogo department store in this tiny corner under the escalator. lulz. they’re sooo cute and pudgy and just perfect looking. them mochi makers really know what they’re doing. they have interesting flavours like apple pie (hands down the best one) and..okay tbh, i don’t really know any other flavour cause that’s all i ever get.

izzue’s fall 09 collection is so badass. the perfect selection of all black everything. i can’t wait till fall and for fall dressing :D cheryl says it’s frosting in toronto? um say what now? it’s still pretty much summer here, without the humidity.

so i started making this cage skirt/top-don’t-really-know-yet. i actually started making it about a month ago and it is still currently in the same state (held together by staples). ninniez knows what a half-way girl i am.
the weekend’s up next, which means more movie nights with pooey and obi, and perhaps more store-bought alcohol andIFC roof? too awesome.

obi, literally next to me sleeping like a slut.

과속스캔들 (scandal makers)

it seems that all the cool kids are doing bullet points these days, no? in the past (almost) month i:
- received trader joe’s kettle corn via airmail (damn straight) from only the coolest new yorker EVER
- experienced pooey’s first self-baked cake for my 22nd birthday
- locked down them damn cdg x repetto zizi jazz shoes (On Pedder, I ♥ you)
- ate possibly the best meal i’ve had all summer (mexican of course, at Izote!)
- purchased an awesomely oversized shirt with HUGE pockets and shoulder pads
- took obez for a much needed haircut
- watched my second favourite korean movie, scandal makers
Was reading about Lane Crawford’s further collaboration with Tommy Ton for The Stylehunter on Butterboom today, and came home from work only to find our copy in the mail. zing!!

Designers are definitely conscious of the tough global changes with the economy. They want their woman to literally be a ‘warrior’.

ever since moving back to hk i’ve had a constant craving for chipotle. unfortunately hk knows of NO such thing so i decided to try and recreate my favourite chipotle fajita burrito bowl, with rice, corn, guacs, sour cream, salsa, onions and beffffffff. it didn’t taste NEARLY as awesome, and didn’t leave my belly smiling like it does when it leaves chipotle…but it’ll do for now.

silly lucky insisting she fits perfectly into obi’s bed.

contemplating life.

lulz hey nice circle face you got there!!!!!

meeko, is that you?????
i realize my blog probably has more dog photos than anything else buuutttt…i like. these photos are from another dog park saturday from 2 weeks ago. the bulldog guy that day was rocking this srsly hardcore bulldog ring. pretty badass no? we also spotted that thing that all the asian kids played with when they were young. you know, like plastic in a tube, which you stick on the end of a stick and blow into it to make a bubble? lulz. plastic on a stick and life was good.
new jeans, which i scolded ninz for convincing me to buy. jeans in hk should not be allowed. my outfit to work yesterday. that’s what it’d look like if i was paper thin, invisible, and lying on the bed!
pooey’s in vietnam, scaling and extracting vietnamese kids’ teeth. home’s just not the same with no douchebag around :(

last month pooey and i celebrated our 4th anniversary. naturally we spent the day at the dog park in what felt like 50 degrees celsius and 99% humidity. spotted these epicly cute bulldogs playing with each other, one english the other french. at certain points they got so into it, they kept throwing each other dramatic chipmunk looks. LULZ.

dinner: beef carpaccio, hand-twisted pasta with prosciutto and lobster risotto at Isola. zing!!!

the sims 3 > the internet. hands down. so much so that i’ve managed to spend the last month playing by building and rebuilding my house 43872 times, owning my cooking and gardening skills, getting married, having a boy and 3 days later having twin boys. now in real life i sometimes think about right clicking stuff i see around to “pick up”. i think that’s a sign for me to stop.
what home looks like so far (without the sims):
one of the best things to come home to:

his tongue’s too long for his tiny mouth so it’s hanging out more often than not lulz! mama’s home for GOOD now.
my camera decided to fail on me. it’s been dead for a while now actually. shutter fail. so when i take photos, it’s kind of like looking at the world with a lazy eye:
hum work starts thursday. o_O

romper: uniqlo x shipley and halmos, sweater: giordano, shoes: hm, necklace: chains and rhinestone diy
that’s what i wore under my eye-murdering red graduation gown. i almost felt like the school was mocking us, putting us in gowns so red. my mom wore a pair of wing-tip lace up flats on that day. hahahahaha how cute is she?
today was one of those days that will make me miss new york when i leave. me and weenz headed to teany (just like old times) where they so conveniently ran out of my favourite oreo cupcake. so i settled for the next best thing, the red velvet slice. i’m not a fan of vegan food, i need me my meats and dairy thanks but teany carries some of the best desserts i’ve yet to put in muh belly. so yum and not too sweet as to leave me craving for a pack of fries after.

want! i’m still looking for the perfect pair of combat boots and these all saints ones are pretty much it. i likey the nude colour. yes?

romper: hm, denim jacket: topshop, shoes: repetto x cdg, scarf: moschino
if one day these flats were to wear out on me, i guarantee you’ll find me on my knees desperately trying to glue and possibly even sew the damn pieces together.
“make a kunjip face” i said…

LULZ
i eat korean food alot but ever since gennie took me to kunjip about a year ago now, it’s pretty much the only restaurant i ever wanna go to in k-town. jaeyuk doo boo kimchi is my ABSOLUTE favourite dish. and to think i wouldn’t have known about its existence had weenie not broken my regular cycle of dishes.
i officially graduated today. and it feels pretty zomgwtfbbq good!! no more school unless a masters is in the picture. but who am i kidding. MORE school? psh woman, please.

hat: unknown, shirt: gapkids (lulz), jacket: topshop, leggings: aa, boots: harley davidson (lulz), bag: mulberry bayswater

the grilled cheese sandwich at spitzer’s is hands down the best gc sandwich i’ve ever had in my life. that thing is so deceivingly plain but that gruyere cheese and tomato chutney combo is zomgwtfbbq. the best thing about eating with nanz is that we like to eat almost exactly the same things (eeghhh peanut butter). so we usually like to get two things and share half each!
school + playing + general lack of inspiration has kept me from blogging. graduating suddenly doesn’t sound so exciting anymore. what if the cap doesn’t fit on my peanut head? fml. heh

you guys might wanna stop by lullie vintage again. they got some supuh killuh stuff going on!

tshirt and jeans: urbie, blazer: hm, shoes: asos (clearly, i always wear the same shoes)

i want to steal this babeh.
i know when i leave nyc for good in may, central park will be a big chunk of what i’ll miss. that and weens and a little bit of wholefoods and chipotle in between. okay big big big big chunks of chipotle. fajita burrito rice bowls? what’s not to miss, eh?

i’s gots a tree growing outta my head. worst mad photography skills ever?

stella mccartney’s window display looks like a fun place to play i spy.

assorted sorbets with grilled pineapples at son cubano
the meatpacking district in new york is soooo cool. too cool for me that i hardly ever go there. that and it’s so frick far and inconvenient to get to. but nice weather + y3 store + outdoor cafes + boyfriend gives me just enough reasons to go.
so i guess i’ve pretty much proven i’m the worst blogger ever. fail. but when your boyfriend visits and you only get to see each other every 2.5 months, it’s hard to set aside time to update. but thank you to those who have missed my posts! :)
i was tagged by tis serendipity to list 6 things that make me smile.
1. when the wheels of the airplane touch down on hong kong’s airport runway.
2. finding out class is canceled
3. an unexpected frick nice day outside
4. when you bring something into the fitting room, assuming it doesn’t fit/look good, but turns out…IT DOES!
5. anything totoro
6. those silly penny souvenir coin things
back to thesis, a bed that’s too big for only me, and new york as it was 10 days ago.
